A new laboratory for instrumental insemination of honey bees was presented at the BeeConSel project’s Information Day in Macedonia, which represents an important step towards better mating control. It was established at the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Food in Skopje as an integral part of the Laboratory for Honey Bee Biology and Selection.
Three presentations were also given at the meeting, presenting the results achieved on honey bee mating control. The event was attended by 40 scientists, representatives of beekeeping associations, and scientists from other beekeeping organisations.
